Burt Monroe Kelts died Oct. 21, 1937, Tulsa, Okla.; born about 47 years ago in Harrison Valley, a son of W. F. KELTS & ADDIE Monroe Kelts. He was a nephew of Mrs. CAROLINE HURD of Genesee. Survived by a sister, Mrs. DOSSIE GREEN of Tulsa.
Notes by submitter: Burt's father was WILLIAM F. KELTS who went by name WILL Kelts. Will was son of HORACE Kelts and CATHARINE SCRANTON who were married ca. 1853, probably in Westfield, Tioga Co., PA. HORACE Kelts was a son of JOHN Kelts and ABIGAIL BUTTON of Richmond Twp., Tioga Co., PA
According to various newspaper notes, obituaries and Census reports, Will Kelts was of Harrison Valley, Potter Co., PA in 3/1895; Union Twp., Tioga Co. in 1896; Glade Twp., Warren Co., PA in 1900; of West VA in 1904; possibly of South Bend, IN in 1911; of Oklahoma in 1920.
