Thomas Haynes ARMSTRONG received his Civil War Pension while living in Washita Co., Oklahoma. He was born 6 Ma4r. 1839 in Tennessee; he married Nancy Catherine VAUGHAN SPINDLE in Arkansas and then moved with his family to Oklahoma, settling first in Atoka then moving to Texas and back to Oklahoma. He is buried in Red Hill Cemetery in Hammond, Roger Mills Co., Oklahoma. His children are:
James Washington, b. 24 Feb. 1867 in Ark. m. Lula A. WADE, d. 16 May 1927; Andrew Jackson, b. 16 Jan 1869, m. Kate ?; Mary A., b. 28 Oct. 1870, m. Edward WINKLER on 8 Sept. 1887; Emma Orlena, b. 3 May 1873, m. Walter Bean BREEDING, d. 22 August 1922 in Wheeler Co., TX; Otah T.,b. 7 Mar 1875; Willa R. (Willie), b. 30 Dec. 1876, d. 26 Aug. 1884 in Mangrum, OK; Motah M., b. 4 April 1879, m Adolf PICKLESIMMER, buried in Red Hill Cemetery, Hammond, OK.
