LOWE, EVELYN L. 1 May 1933 - 19 April 1999

Evelyn Lee Lowe, 65, of Delhi, died Monday, April 19th, at Emanuel Hospital, Turlock, California.

Mrs. Lowe was a native of Modesto. She had lived in Delhi since 1988 and previously lived in Arkansas several years, Hughson many years, and Denair a few years. She was a 17-year employee of Tri-Valley Growers; she was an inspector. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Denair.

She is survived by her husband, Howard Lee Lowe of Delhi; children, Gary Lowe of Turlock, and Roy Lowe of Delhi; mother, Myrtle Oberkamper of Turlock; brothers, Dale Owens of Modesto, Tim Owens of Hughson, and Jack Owens of Ohio; sister, Eva Mae Lansbury of Idaho; and two grandchildren.

Although a native Californian, Mrs. Lowe had extensive connections with members of her husband's family, the Lowe Family, which came from WASHITA COUNTY, OKLAHOMA, and settled in the great Central Valley of California.

On a personal note, Mrs. Lowe was a tireless worker with my late wife, Dorothy Montgomery, Speech and Language Diagnostician for the Stanislaus County Educational Assessment Services for Special Education Programs. She brought a real love and concern for affected children that will be missed.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, April 23, at the Church of Christ in Denair, followed by burial at the Denair Cemetery, Denair, California.
