I looked in the Guthrie Daily Leader and also in The Weekly Oklahoma State Capital, Guthrie, and did not find a mention of James Sly's death. I also looked in a book by Stansbury's, History of Mulhall, wherein they abstracted newspaper items and I did not find him mentioned there either. I do know that he died 20 Dec 1907 and is buried at Rose Lawn in Mulhall.
