Daniel Bruner (found in "Who Was Who amongst the South East Indians" by Martini) White resident amongst the Creeks, was possibly the Daniel who was a scout for Capt. Ulrich Tobler at Ft. Moore, SC in 1759. On Nov. 10, 1792 he appointed John Murray of SC to sell his lands there and recover any funds due him. Alexander McGillivray (well known Creek leader) and Isaac Perry were witnesses to the Document. - Edgefield county deeds #75:
The first possible relatives may be that he married a Spanish woman as Spanish names appear on the list.
NOTE: Many Creek Indians may have died as the annihilation and genocide is being perpetrated upon the Indians to get their lands. It was really bad during the Creek War of 1812--1814 when 75% of the Creek warriors are killed along with unknown numbers of women and children (each male should have 3 others in his house. There was a so called war in 1835--36 when many more Creeks are annihilated (to make land available), and then many more die when they are sent on the "Trail of Tears", with insufficient food, clothing, transportation, many traveling during the cold winters, through swamps, having to be buried along side the trail. Again, many more will die after arriving in the Indian lands as the government failed to obtain the promised supplies, equipment, food after their arrival.
If a child survived, another family would take him in, but he loses his previous family identity. - and then as he matures, especially after the 1830s, he may take the last name of a good friend or family, or someone that he admired.
Indian Females usually would marry starting at age 13, - for my dates, I use marriage at age 16, and usually had children about every 2 years.(This is where my dates are derived from) Therefore, names may appear which there is no known parent.
