Olivia Haffner is my grandmother, granddaughter of Gottfried Haffner and Katrina Winter. She had a card which he had printed of the family, and this is what I have. Some of it is from family records and memories, also. The families of Gottfried Haffner and Henry Rothe came to New York Harbor on January 6, 1876, and went to Lehigh, Marion County, Kansas. They brought their wives and children. There were other brothers who came, but no one remembers mention of parent or any other older generation coming. Gottfried Haffner and Katrina Winters had:

Frederick (John Fred) Haffner was born January 14, 1864, in Messer, Russia, and died Septermber 1, 1949 in Canton, Blaine, OK. He married Anna Marie Rothe January 25, 1885 in Marion County, KS. She was born September 28, 1867 in Messer, Russia, and died February 16, 1955 in Watonga, Blaine, OK. John Fred Haffner came into Oklahoma during the "run" when the Cherokee Strip was opened. He homesteaded, but later was set off the land for refusal to pay taxes. After that he rented land. He and others were naturalized in Marion County, KS. Their children:

7. Clyde Rhineholdt Haffner. b. June 7, 1903, Omega. d. May 09, 1970, Watonga, Blaine, OK.
8. Roy Haffner, b. April 26, 1907, Omega. d. September 7, 1911, Omega.
9. Jessie Haffner, b. July 12, 1912, Omega.; d. July 15, 1912, Omega.
