RONALD V. CLYMORE Dec. 29, 1923 - April 29, 2001 Ron was born in Nowata, OK, on December 29, 1923, where he grew up along with two brothers and three sisters. Ron ventured out to San Diego, CA, where he met his wife, Lucy. G. Clymore. He joined the U.S. Navy and served during WWII. He and Lucy moved to Madera and started their family. Their daughter, Karen, was born December 14, 1946. Their son, Rick was born April 7, 1950. Ron and Lucy attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Madera. Ron retired from the Department of Motor Vehicles at the age of 60. His job at DMV required he transfer to a number of places including Santa Monica, Sacramento, Oceanside, San Diego, and Fresno. However they kept returning to Madera, which is where Ron spent his retirement years. Ron was not only active in his church, but was also a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Madera Masonic Lodge, and the Tehran Temple of The Shrine. Ron served in the California Air National Guard and also served on the Democratic Nominating Committee during the election of John F. Kennedy, and was honored to ride with President Kennedy on the campaign train that rode through the San Joaquin valley. Ron is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lucy of Madera; daughter, Karen Price of Madera and his son, Dr. Richard Clymore and his wife, Dr. Debby Harbin Clymore of Fresno. He is the grandfather of Jason Clymore and his wife, Charlene of Fresno, Kelly Price of Madera and Krystle Clymore and Davin Clymore both of Fresno. He is the great-grandfather of Jalene Clymore and Christopher Clymore, both of Fresno. He is the brother of Raeda Faye Renfro of Houston TX, and Anna Rose Friedel of San Jacinto, CA. Visitation will be held at Jay Chapel, Madera, on Thursday, May 3, 2001, from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. Graveside Service will be held at Arbor Vitae Cemetery on Friday, May 4, 2001, at 11:00 A.M.
