DEXTER-Private services have been held for Susan Dianne Smyth of Dexter, who died April 7 of complications from diabetes. She was 53.
She was born Oct. 5, 1946, to Bernard and June Miner Crosson. She married Bill Smyth in Las Vegas on Feb. 19, 1977
Smyth moved to Palmdale, CA., in 1985,; to Murdo, SD., in 1995; to Dayton, OR., in 1996; and Dexter in 1999. She was a real estate manager and bookkeeper. Her interest included camping, sewing, gardening and cooking.
Survivors include her husband, a son, Robert Hughes of Vancouver, WA.; a daughter, Linda Hughes of Seattle, WA.; two brothers; and two sisters.
Burial was at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Springfield. Andreson's Cremation and Burial Service was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc.
