Lester Clarence Johnson, 87, died at his home in Waldport (Lincoln Co.) on February 5, 1997.
He was born April 13, 1909 in Minnesota, and had been a Waldport resident since 1972.
He was a graphic designer for the U.S. government before retiring in 1972. He was also an artist, and displayed and sold his art locally at art galleries under his pseudonym, Geslos.
He married his wife, Joyce, in Waldport on July 14, 1996. He was a member of the Waldport Moose Lodge and attended the Lutheran church.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce, of Waldport; a daughter, Penelope Johnson of Boulder, Colorado; and a cousin, Betty Ronayne of Seal Rock.
At the decedent's request, no services will take place. Bateman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
