J. Michael Stonebrink
J. Michael Stonebrink was born Oct. 7, 1957 in Inglewood, Calif. to James and Anita (Hill) Stonebrink and passed away Aug. 10, 2013 in Tillamook at the age of 55.
Mike moved to Oregon and grew up in Yamhill and attended Yamhill-Carlton High School and later Neah Kah Nie High School where he graduated as Salutatorian.
After Mike graduated from high school, he began working at Rosenberg Builders Supply. He had worked at Rosenberg’s for 38 years mostly as their purchasing agent.
Mike married Tammy Zigler in December of 1975 in Tillamook and they raised their children. They later divorced in 1995.
Mike was a member of the Tillamook Elks Lodge and enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, refurbishing motorcycles and tote goats, and building houses.
Mike is survived by his parents, Jim and Anita Stonebrink of Tillamook; two children, Chris Rieger of Tillamook and Doug Stonebrink of Clackamas; sister; Donna Magden and her husband Howard of Clackamas; four grandchildren, Lindsey Rieger, Peyton Rieger and Trenton Stonebrink of Tillamook and Braxton Stonebrink of Clackamas; niece Amanda Magden and a nephew Brad Magden both of Clackamas; one great niece Makenna Magden also of Clackamas and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tillamook Elk’s Scholarship Program.
A graveside service was held for Mike on Saturday, Aug. 17 at the Yamhill Carlton Pioneer Cemetery. A memorial service will be held later at the Tillamook Elk’s Lodge on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 11 a.m.
