Well Known Farmer Is Buried Wednesday
Requiem mass was said for William Verboort Wednesday morning at the Visitation church, Verboort, and interment was made in the Verboort cemetery. Father Jonas officiated. Recitation of the Rosary was conducted at a Hillsboro undertaking chapel Sunday and Monday evening at the Verboort home Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock.
Mr. Verboort, a resident of the Verboort district for 64 years, was very well known. He died at his farm Saturday at 11:15 p.m. He had not been well for several months but became seriously ill Thursday of last week when he was taken to St. Vincents hospital, Portland, but was brought home again Thursday evening. He was born in Verboort 64 years ago, April 2, and married Nellie Van Dyke, April 10, 36 years ago.
He is survived by Mrs. Verboort and eight children, Mrs. Christine Haynes of Gaston, Wilfred of Hillsboro, Stephen of Cornelius, Arthur, Elmer, Mary, Cecil, and Leslie, all of Verboort. There are seven children living.
