A genealogy-related event called "Unlocking Your Past" is being held in south-central Pennsylvania. The event is free and open free to the public; even the refreshments are free! There is no need to call or register for the event; we are prepared to handle up to 1,000 visitors a day (and a few more if we have to).

Each day the event will feature 13 presentations by a distinguished panel of area authors, historians, professional genealogists, educators, curators and experienced family history researchers. There will be dozens of exhibits featuring samples of local family histories, photo albums, family memorabilia and period clothing. Informational videos will start every half hour in two separate rooms, while ongoing demonstrations will show how to use computers and the internet assist family history research. A special exhibit is being provided by the Waynesboro Industrial Museum.

Event dates are March 6th, 7th and 8th. On Thursday and Friday, March 6th & 7th, the event opens 1:00 PM, and presentations run from 2:00 PM until 8:45 PM. On Saturday March 8th, the event opens at 9:00 AM and presentations run from 10:00 AM to 3:45 PM.
