Classification: Query
Surnames: HUNT, REA, RADEBAUGH, LEE, MITCHELL, ROLLINS
I am researching the descendants of Thomas Hunt, who emigrated from England or Ireland to America, settling in Bedford County by 1800. He married Nancy Rea (b. about 1775, d. Nov 1865) and died Jan 1849 in Cumberland Valley Twp.
Their children:
1. Thomas b. about 1800
2. David b. about 1803
3. Joseph b. 1805 d. 1857 m. Maria Radebaugh
4. George Washington b. about 1808 m. Hannah ? lived in Schellsburg
5. Mary b. 1810-1820 m. John Rollins?
6. Jane b. 1810-1820 m. --- Mitchell, moved to Kansas
7. Sarah b. 1810-1820 d. unmarried
8. Ann b. 1810-1820 d. unmarried
9. Martha b. 1820 married Nathan Lee
I have some information on the families of Joseph (my g-g-g-grandfather) and George W., but not much else. I recall a paperbound book on the Hunt history written by H.C. Hunt and Ada Hunt Klingensmith, but I haven't been able to find a copy. Can anybody do lookups on Thomas Hunt's will in Bedford County courthouse, or land records?--T.H. bought land in C.V. Twp. in 1827 and passed it on to Joseph, who passed it on to his son William Joseph, but I don't know where that land was located. I also would like to know where Thomas and Nancy Hunt were buried--perhaps on private land? Any help is appreciated
