Hi, Janice - Just saw your query about John Hirst and thought I could help a little. This John Hirst was born 20Aug1737, Philadelphia, PA; d 20Nov1809, Loudoun Co, VA. His parents were the Reverend John Hirst of West Riding, Yorkshire, England and Ann Jarrett. The Reverend was a Presbyterian minister who came to America in 1732, but son John became a Minister of Friends (Quaker) 24Feb1781. Both John and his wife, Mary Heston, b. 23Apr1737, Wrightstown, Bucks Co, PA; d 28Jan1813, Loudoun Co, VA are buried in in Lincoln, Loudoun Co, VA. John and Mary had moved from Wrightstown, Bucks Co, PA to the Fairfax Monthly Meeting area in Loudoun Co, VA, 25Jun1774. Mary was the daughter of Zebulon Heston and Elizabeth Buckman of Wrightstown, Bucks Co, PA. John Hirst and Mary Heston had a total of nine children together, all born in Wrightstown, Bucks Co, PA.
