MRS. BOWSER, 81, LOWER YODER, DIES OF COMPLICATIONS
48 Descendants Survive Well-Known Resident; Services Thursday
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (McLaughlin) Bowser, aged 81, died late last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Annie Brown of Lower Yoder, with whom she was residing. Her demise was attributed to a complication of ailments incident to advanced old age. Born in Indiana County, Mrs. Bowser was a daughter of the late Daniel J. and Barbara (Hare) McLaughlin. Her husband, George C. Bowser, died November 23, 1931. Surviving are these children: Harvey Bowser of Alum Bank; Margaret, Widow of Edward McMahon of 412 Fisher Street; Annie, wife of Elmer Brown, at whose home her death occurred; Mary E., wife of Daniel Sauers of 618 Fairfield Avenue; Jane, wife of Joseph Barron of Brookdale, and Edith, wife of Rush Ream of 763 Railroad Street. Mrs. Bowser also leaves 23 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a brother, Ulysses McLaughlin of Ebensburg. Fours sons - Charles S., George C., John H., and Daniel W. Bowser - preceded her in death. The body has been removed to the Daniel Sauers home on Fairfield Avenue, where funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial will take place in Benshoff Cemetery, under the direction of Stephen J. Conway, Main Street mortician.
