EMPORIUM, PA - Funeral Services for Jeffrey W. Russell, 22, of RD1, who died Saturday (August 29, 1981) in Portage Township, as the result of injuries sustained after being struck by a train, were held today (Monday Aug. 31, 1981) in the First Baptist Church of Emporium. The Rev. Thomas Grisham and the Rev. Stanley Benson, officiated. Burial was in Sizerville Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Coppersmith Funeral Home, Emporium. Born Dec. 8, 1958, in St.Marys, he was a son of John Karl and Geraldine Henry Russell. A former resident of Sizerville area, he had resided in Big Run for the past year, had attended Cameron County High School; and was a 1977 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. Surviving beside his parents, are three sisters, Mrs. Gail Reynolds of Massachusetts, Mrs. Guy (Marlene) Zimmer of Gardeau and Charlene Russell, at home; three brothers, Allen Russell of Belefonte, Gary Russell and Gregory Russell, both of Emporium; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Violet Henry of Big Run, PA. Memorials may be made to the Gardeau Community Church or to the First Baptist Church of Emporium.
