Hello,

By visiting Bellefonte a couple years ago I was able to trace back my family to John Barnes, who married Eliza Ann PARSONS. However, I have not been able to find out anything about John before his landing in America. I have that he was born on 16 Jun 1801 in Harptree, Somersetshire, England, but that is about it.

I've been searching through English genealogy sites but have not yet found anything that relates to my John Barnes. Is anyone aware of this character and what his pre-Bellefonte history/ancestry may be?
