My grandmother, Matilda Slyoff married to Clarence Ross, was living in Camden, New Jersey. Her fathers name was John S Slyoff. There was a relative in the Civil War by the name of Henry Clay Slyoff who died at Andersonville on 10/23/1864 of scorbutus. His grave number is #11365 and is listed as being a Private in the Pennsylvania Infantry, Company C, 81st Regiment. His name was mispelled as Henry Syloff - Burial Register Page 345. I noticed one of surnames listed was Slyoff - any relation to Henry Clay Slyoff?
