"Goshen Heights Resident Dies"
At her home at Goshen Heights, at 3:15 this morning, Gertrude Vivia, widow of John H. Sickler Jr died in the 72nd year of her age. She had been in poor health for some time, and critically ill during the past week.
Mrs. Sickler was a daughter of the late John K. Bugless and Anna Maria Darlington, and was born in Birmingham Township. Most of her life had been spent in Westtown Township, near Shiloh Church, and at Goshen Heights.
She had been a member of the former Olivet Baptist Church in West Chester.
She is survived by these children: Edith Sickler, wife of William E. Farra of Gray, Maine; Harry F. Sickler and wife Ethel Borrell of Westtown; Barbara Grace Sickler, wife of Philip Elijah Griffith of Penns Grove, NJ; Elwood P. Sickler and wife Bessie M. Shores of East Goshen. There are also seven grandchildren surviving: Henry F., Charles S. and Robert L. Sickler , children of Harry and Ethel Sickler; Ruth M. and Albert P. Griffith, children of Barbara Grace and Philip Griffith; Alice and Evelyn Sickler, children of Elwood and Bessie Sickler.
Interment will be in Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery December 24, 1938.
