Donald A. Stringfellow Sr.

Donald Allen Stringfellow Sr., of 281 Draketown Road, Mill Hall, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Lock Haven Extended Care.
He was born in Bald Eagle Township,pa, on August 12, 1925,
the son of the late Calvin and Anna Phoenix Stringfellow.
Don married his wife Sarah VanGorden, who survives, on March 20, 1944 at the Mill Hall Church of Christ Parsonage.
He worked as a foreman at Mill Hall Clay for 44 years before retiring in 1990. Prior to that he worked part-time for Lee Bowman on the asphalt crew and driving crew.
Donald was a WW II veteran and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and yard work. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed coaching for Mill Hall Little League.
In addition to his wife, Don is survived by three sons, Donald Jr. (Barb) of Renovo Road, David (April) of McElhattan, and Daniel of Mill Hall; one daughter, Susan (Don) Miller of Laurel Run Road; 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Robert in 1960;
seven brothers, Charles, Ray, Calvin, Lloyd, Harold, Fred and William; and two sisters, Leanna Workman and Margaret Seyler.
A memorial service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mill Hall Fire Company or the Clinton County SPCA.
