Wow that is way off from what I have gotten. I have an obit that says he came here in 1854 and the 1900 census he said he came here in 1855. And it said Michael came here with his parents. But when you look at Irish history a year or so apart may be considered the same thing too. Plus the obit says when he first came here they first settled in Flemington, Clinton County. It also says he married Sabina after coming to the US. I am at a total loss with her and figured I would work one side at a time, and I am trying to find where in Ireland he came from. The obit says Kings county Ireland, but it needs to be narrowed down to a parish or townland to find anything there.
