I am just beginning to work on my geneology and have some information on the Quiggles. I am the grandson of Charles C. Quiggle of Waukegan, IL ( b. 1893, d. 1965) who was the son of Louis C. Quiggle (b. 1855, d. 1919) and Mary Ann Wheeler
(B. 1861, D. 1917). I have a paper with the following handwritten notes: the Quiggle brothers (no first names) came to America in 1722 from County Derry, Ireland and settled in Swatora Creek, Lancaster County, PA. One of them has a son Christopher Quiggle who married Mary Crawford in 1740 and fought as a Lt. in the War of the Revolution. They had two children: Sarah Quiggle who married James Montgomery in 1799 in Clinton County, PA and a son John Quiggle (b. 1766, d. 1845) in Lockhaven, Clinton County PA. John Quiggle married Elizabeth Nicely in 1790. The notes are very hard to understand at this point. It appears that John and Elizabeth had a daughter, Sarah Quiggle (b. 1815, d. 1857) who married Joseph B. Deis. They had a son named John Q. Deis. The parents of my gg grandfather, Louis C. Quiggle were Jacob Quiggle (b. 1806, d. 1853) and Sarah First (b. 1813, d. 1901). I need help at this point tracing Louis C. Quiggle to John Quiggle.
Any information you could provide would be much apprediated. Thanks in advance!
