this is very interesting. My Great Great Great grandfather was Emmor Hampton. He was a Quaker and married Mary Ann Notestein. For the longest time I could not understand why most all of my Hampton ancestor are Lutheran. Now I see, Mary Ann's family was Lutheran and she raised the children as Lutheran after her husband's death in 1872. After Emmor died she moved back to Danville and was a neighbor to her brother Jacob. Jacob died in east stroudsburg 1929.
