Hi Joyce,
Your missing Abraham Arewine is buried in Columbia County, PA. If you search him on
www.findagrave.com, you will find his burial location and date he died. I am researching Henry Ervin. Spelled Arewine in a lot of old records, but the family took the last name Ervin. This family lived primarily in Columbia County, PA. Henry was born in 1751. I'm wondering if my Henry could be in your family some where. In his revolutionary war pension application, he has a signed statement from someone who stated that he lived in "Lake Country" in New York for a period of time. This is the timeline I have for Henry:
1776 - enlisted in PA Continental Army in Bucks County, PA
1796 through 1810 - lived in Nescopeck Township, Luzerne County, PA
1810 - very early 1820s - lived in New York at some point during this time in Lake Country according to pension application
1822 - 1844 (death) - lived in Columbia County, PA
He had 11 children. I have 8 of their names. In order of birth:
George
Conrad
Isaac
Betsy
John
Abraham
William
Sally
Peter
I have no idea where Henry was born.
Please let me know if any of this sounds familiar or if you could point me to a resource where I might find more on the family you are talking about to see if there is a connection to my family.
Thanks,
Michelle
