Did you see the marriage record of Catherine K. D'Aristede shown on familysearch.org? Says she was married at the 1st Evangical Lutheran Church, Carlisle Cumberland PA, 1827. It does not show her parents' names. But you may want to try a Family Research Center that can access those records that are cited on the web site. You can find the addresses for those Research Centers on the web site also. It is free to visit there, and they can order many records to be viewed on microfilm, for a small fee.
I also took a look at the Castle Garden manifests (before Ellis Island) and found one Wilhemina Aristaede 69 from Germany, arrived 8/25/1884. It does not say where she was going to, but that seems to show that the name did have some roots in Germany. (There were also some with similiar spellings from France)
I found a record of the history of the Rupps, that mentions your ancestors, and refers to Philip's father as Frederich Wilhelm Aristide from ...Prussia. You can access that record via Heritage Quest, available at some libraries. I can't send you a web link, but I could send you the image of the record page. Not sure if you already have that?
No, I'm not related. I just like to this to unwind.
