I'm not directly related to Henry Taylor.

The husband of Helen Ruth Taylor, daughter of Henry and Sarah Olive Strait Taylor, Reed Noel Wible, is a half 2nd. cousin 3 times removed from me.

Ruth Wible Patty, Youngsville, 96

Helen Ruth Taylor Patty, 96, formally of Murrysville, Pennsylvania, died Friday, June 4, 1999 at 2:40 p.m. at the Rouse Warren Co. Home in Youngsville, where she had been a resident for the past ten months.

She was born August 26,1902 in McConnellsburg, Fulton County, a daughter of the late Henry Taylor and Sarah O. Strait Taylor.

Her father had honorably served as a U.S. Cavalryman under the command of General Ulysses S. Grant during the Civil War.

She was a long -time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Murrysville and a member of the Dorcas Circle. She was also a past president of t he Ladies Auxiliary of the Murrysville Vol. Fire Department.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Reed Noel Wible in 1951; her second husband, Harry S. Patty in 1978; nine sisters: Barbara, Anna, Essa, Scedena, Martha, Ora, Kate, Mabel, infant sister Alice: five brothers: James, William, Henry (Albert), Elmer and Alvin; three step-sons: Lloyd, Carl and Earl G. Patty and a grand-son, Dana Robert Dickey.

She is survived by a son, Wallace R. Wible, Sr., San Antonio, TX and a daughter, Mabel Ruth Wible Dickey of Youngsville, PA; three grand-sons; a granddaughter, a step-grandson; three step-granddaughters; three step-great-g randsons; a step-great-granddaughter; a step-great-great-granddaughter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The John T. Hart Funeral Home of Murrysville and the Pittsburgh Crematory are in charge of final arrangements. A private grave side committal service was held at Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville, at the convenien ce of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Arthritis Foundation or a harity of choice.
