In the city directories from the late 1800s I keep coming across relatives living on "Cross", probably street, never seems to get a better moniker. These are people in the Petersburg section of town. Ash is mentioned as a cross street one place, so Cross would run perpendicular to Ash. Wondering if it might be today's Harrison Ave? Never see Harrison Avenue in the directories.
