Thank you SO MUCH for the education! I feel like I understand so much more than I did yesterday about these older records and what to look for and how to use them. Someone suggested that I check out the Learning Center but the information I found there did not cover tax records and generally the information was so basic that it wasn't very helpful. They would do a great service by providing a more in depth coverage researching prior to 1850. What records to look for and what information to expect them to include how to use that information to go back further. Where those records are typically held. I'm SO GRATEFUL for the mini lesson!! I wish I knew where to go for more information like that.
