Charles S. "Chuck" Spesak, 84, of Catasauqua, died Aug. 7 in his home. He was married to Cecelia (Hutter) Spesak for 59 years last October. He worked in the maintenance department for the former Western Electric, Allentown, for 30 years. Born in New Bethlehem, Clarion County, he was a son of the late Frank and Julia Spesak and a stepson of the late Anna (Fritz) Spesak. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Catasauqua. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II, serving as a first class petty officer in the D-Day invasion of Omaha Beach. Survivors: Wife; sons, Carl J. of Catasauqua, Steven M. of Longswamp Township; brother, Buck, and sister, Martha Kudela, both of Lebanon; four grandsons. Services: Mass, 11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Call 10-11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Arrangements, John H. Brubaker Funeral Home, Catasauqua. Contributions: Alzheimer's Association, Hellertown.
