The 2nd wife of Jacob R. Temple is listed in your genealogy as Mary E. Adams Martines(1845-1899) and her father as John Martines. Do you know anything more about the Martines family? I have been trying to figure out some Wilson history and have been having trouble with a Sarah Martines(Martenis?), the spelling differs, from Davidson Twp.. Isaac and Sarah(?)Wilson were married in Columbia Co. and moved to Davidson sometime between 1850 and 1860. They had a son John O. Wilson whom married Sarah(?). In the Davidson Twp. 1870 Census a John Martenis is living between Griffith Phillips and Sarah and Isaac Wilson. John Marenis is 4 yrs. older than Sarah & Isaac Wilson. John O.(1834-1902) and Sarah(1838-1904) Wilson are living about 5 houses away. I believe this Sarah is the daughter of John Martines, do you have any info that could help me substantiate this theory?
