I have spent hours chasing the Hollister connection in my family. As far as the name of Samuel Hollister's wife, the absolutely only place I have found a name (and it's only a first name) is on a marriage entry for Hannah Hallister. Now, I know that the name is hOllister, but in my searches I have seen the name misspelled and misinterpreted in any number of ways. My great grandmother was Annie Hollister, daughter of James Hollister. James has been listed as Allister, Alister, Olister, etc. But, in the 1860 census, when Samuel's children were living in multiple places, I found James Alister living in Pottsville with Benjamin and Hannah Lambert.
