Surnames: Covaleski, Kovalauskaus
Martin Covaleski (changed from Kovalauskaus)came from Lithuania to Northcumberland County (Shamokin/Mt.Carmel)with wife Victoria. Came with a few children, had a bunch more, ended up with 10 boys and 1 girl...headed up to Connecticut. We have all his descendents figured out. What we don't have figured out are the possibilities of Martin having brothers, thus whole streams of Covaleskis that are one-step removed from his clan. There are bunches of Covaleskis at the turn-of-the century in the Mt. Carmel/ Shamokin area that may include his brothers. There is some feeling that he had 2 brothers -- Walter and Charles -- and they (or one of them) might have headed up to the Scranton area.

Any information on Lithuanian Covaleskis from this time period would be helpful.
