Wednesday evening, June 11, 1919 at 7:30, Mrs. Margaret Ann Fegley passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ben Fowler. Death was due to a stroke. Mrs. Fegley seemed to be as well as usual during the day and had spent an especially happy afternoon sewing and chatting with her invalid daughter. A short time before supper she went upstairs and when her granddaughter went to call her for supper, she found her lying on the bed, very ill. A physician was immediately summoned but she was beyond medical aid and passed away in a very short time retaining consciousness up to the time of her death.
Margaret Ann Boughner was born in Schuylkill Co., Oct. 2, 1833. In 1851 she was married to Reuben Fegley. She resided in Schuylkill County until about 34 years ago when she came to Marshlands, Pa, where she lived until 16 years ago. Since that time she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Fowler of Germania Street, Galeton, Pa. She was the mother of nine children, seven of whom are living.
She is survived by three daughters Mrs. Robert Snyder, Mrs. Ben Fowler and Henrietta Fegley, all of this place, and four sons; John, of Tamaqua, PA, Willis, of Leighton, PA, Lucian, of Leetonia, PA, and Frank of Blasdell. Also one brother, Frank Boughner, and four sisters, Mrs. Rita Neifert, Mrs. Mary Krebs, Mrs Catherine Fegley, all of Schuylkill, and Mrs. Anna Betz who is living in Canada. Interment was made in West Hill Cemetery, Galeton, PA.
