My great-grandmother is Catherine Fahey Devitt, b. March 5, 1862 or 1865 in USA, not sure where. The only way I know of a Patrick Fahey is his name is on Catherine's death certificate as her father and her mother is listed as Ellen Fahey. I know of one other child, Catherine's sister, Margaret Fahey who died Jan. 23, 1905 and is buried in the family plot at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA, just outside of Phila. I'm not sure where the Faheys are from in Ireland. I've had some people send me info. on a Patrick Fahey living in Canada when he first immigrated and another Patrick Fahey in Massachusettes. I haven't been able to get anything on them prior to Catherine being married to Anthony William Devitt and living in Ashland, PA a coal mining town in Schuylkil County, 1883. Their three oldest children are born in Ashland and the remaining younger ones are born in Phila., PA, starting with my grandmother, Mary Devitt b. July 27, 1892. She died just about a year after I married. I sure miss her, and know she could have told me alot, if only I had asked! Perhaps my Patrick is the son of your Patrick? I haven't much on him. If I can dig up some more and get definite dates, I'll keep in touch. Did your Faheys immigrate to the US? I have photos of Catherine and Margaret Fahey and I may have a photo of their mother, Ellen Fahey, but not sure as the photo was not marked, it could be just a good friend. When I was born, I was suppose to have been a boy and the name Patrick was picked out for me, hence the Patricia. I'd love to know more about him, as that's where the idea of the name came from. Are you in the US or abroad? I'm in MI at present, but was born in Phila., PA and grew up in NJ. Thanks for responding to my message. Perhaps there is a connection once more info. is unearthed. Keep in touch, Pat Bennett
