Mrs. Edna M. Finch, 91, of RR2, Box 2784, Laceyville, PA, formerly of New Era and Overton Road Apartments in Dushore, passed away at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Memorial Hospital in Towanda early Sunday morning, July 5, 2009.
She was born in Richboro, PA on Jan. 24, 1918, the daughter of the late John and Mable Fox Rook. Mrs. Finch was the wife of Richard L. Finch, who passed away in May 1966. All of her life, Mrs. Finch was a homemaker and mother for her husband and their family. In her spare time, she loved to read and watch television. She also loved the time she spent with her family and her friends.
Surviving are her daughter and husband, Sally and David Robinson of Laceyville and her son, Roland Finch of New Albany. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lena Finch Jennings in May 2008 and four sons, Jesse Finch in July 2006, Landis Finch in February 1966, Roger Finch in April 1966 and Dicky Finch in 1959.
Graveside memorial services will be held on Friday, July 10 at 2 p.m. at the Lacey Street Cemetery in Laceyville, with Rev. Dave Faulkner of the Braintrim Baptist Church, officiating.arrangements were made through the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville.
