Mrs. Alice Mucha Kaier, age 78, of Churchill Street, Dushore, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at the Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA.
Alice was born in Bernice, PA on May 29, 1927 a daughter of the late Stanley J. & Anna Mary Pastula Mucha. She graduated from the Cherry Township High School a member of the class of 1946. She married Gerard Kaier of Dushore on June 5, 1948. They celebrated their 47 wedding anniversary last June.
Alice was a renowned and accomplished baker and made wedding, birthday and special cakes for many, many years for the entire community.
Alice was an active member of St. Basil’s Catholic Church in Dushore, PA and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

Brother-in-law: Anthony Grilla New Smyrna Beach, FL
Numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons: Michael F. Kaier on August 3, 1976 and Alan G. Kaier on May 25, 1992 and a sister, Helen Piasecki of Elmira, NY.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA with the Rev. Bert S. Kozen, her pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery, Dushore, PA.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. and from 10:00 A.M. on Saturday morning until the time of the service.
Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Friday evening at the funeral home by members of St. Basil’s – St. Francis Altar and Rosary Society.
