November 24, 1898
A. J. BOYLE [sic], aged about 24, was found in the woods about a mile and a half below Hillsgrove on Nov. 18th. He was lying as if asleep, his head resting on his arm. There was a bullet hole in his left hand and another just above the heart. It was clearly indicated suicide, and a coroner's jury returned a verdict to that effect. He was the son of William BOYLE of Hillsgrove.
