Particularly interested in information which identifies the descendants of John Patterson and Jean Scott (below). I am seeking the siblings and parents of William Patterson (1818-1879)
Note: Bethel MP Church & Graveyard are on Bethel Ridge Road south of Eldersville, Jefferson Township, PA.
1. JAMES PATTERSON b.1757; d. 31 Aug 1849 {92 years}; m. SARAH GIVEN b. 1764; d. 8 Jan 1849 {84 years}. Both are buried in Bethel Church Graveyard.
Children of James Patterson and Sarah Patterson are:
i. WILLIAM PATTERSON, b. 1790; d. April 19, 1840 {50 years}; buried here.
ii. JOHN PATTERSON, b. 1793; d. February 14, 1841{47 years}; buried here.
iii. MARY PATTERSON; d. before 1893; m. William Moore
iv. JAMES PATTERSON; m. 1852 Jane McWha; d. 1876
iv. SARAH PATTERSON; d. before 1893; m. Robert Pogue
v. ELIZABETH PATTERSON; d. before 1893; m. Erasmus Cooper. Their son was E.C. Cooper who inherited Hugh Pattersons land since Hugh had no wife.
vi. HUGH PATTERSON, b. November 07, 1807 near Eldersville, PA; d. September 26, 1896; (see Beers, page 326) buried here.
2. JOHN PATTERSON b. 1762; d. October 09, 1849 {87 years}; m. JEAN/JANE PATTERSON {daughter (?) of Francis Scott) b. 1777, d. August 5, 1831 {54 years}; both are buried in Bethel Church Graveyard.
