JAMES L. ROUP
James L. Roup, Burton avenue, Wolfdale, died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harold Barrett, 6 Euclid avenue, Tuesday, January 24, 1956, at 8:15 a. m.
He was born in Greene County, August 20, 1871, the son of Ewing and Sarah Rush Roup. Prior to his retirement in 1941 he had been employed as a tankman at Hazel Atlas Glass Plant 2. He was a member of the Calvary Temple Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Allen Roup, and the following children: Mabel, wife of James Kelley; James G. Roup, Edward M. Roup; Seena, wife of Harold Barrett, all of Washington; Ethel, wife of William White, Samuel J. T. Roup and Raymond R. Roup, all of Washington R. D. 3.
Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren.
