I am in search of any information pertaining to David McCORMICK (b. 1762, Chester Co., Pa--d. 1838, Seneca Co., NY). He was married to Sarah or Sally MILLER in Northampton Co., PA. After his service in the Revolutionary War, David and Sally lived "on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River at a place called the Big Island--then lived a few years at Wyoming, Pa. from whence he removed to the Town of Elmira [NY]." This passage was taken from a court proceeding in Tioga (now Chemung) Co., NY, which dealt with David McCORMICK's pension from the war. I am very curious about where Big Island is--interested, also, if they had any children in this area. Any information is appreciated. Thanks!
