My name is Charles Tawney. I believe that I am decended from Henry and Elizabeth Tawney who moved to Stark County Ohio. My great great grandfather was named Abraham, and by his age at death, he was born between 1816 and 1819.

According to the 1820 US Census, the only Tawney family is that of Henry. Records show that he had moved from Pensylvania to Maryland, then left for the wilderness with family in tow.
