Re Hellam Furniture Company: I know that their 50th anniversary year was 1968 according to the bill of sale for my Eaton dining room suite (#468/564) which was ordered December 21, 1968. It was paid for January 20,1969, and received April 29, 1969. It has a 45”x68” Eaton oval table (pattern #194) and includes three 45”x15” leafs. The set includes 4 upholstered back side chairs (564-SR), two upholstered back arm chairs (564-AR), a 78” lowboy and a 78” hutch (393) with doors & drawers, with #100 gold wallpaper and a light. This Eaton set appears to be fruitwood with a beautiful burl in table and hutch. I believe the company went out of business shortly after I purchased my suite. I have been told that Hellam furniture is highly valued on the antiques market but have been unable to track down any items that were actually sold.
