Surnames: Gore
According to a family chart I recently received, he is my ggg grandfather and I'm interesting in obtaining parent, sibling, location, etc.information anyone may have. Our chart shows:

m Margris/Margret/Margaret (1798-1846) in York PA 1818 (no maiden name given).

Children were: John 1818-1884
Mahatha/Martha(?) 1818-1904
Rabecka/Rebecca 1821-?
Elizabeth 1824-?
Polly 1826-?
Fanny 1829-?
Ambrose 1836-?(left in 1853, never heard from)

One of John's children was Valentine 1840-1890 (my great- grandfather) who married Leona McGahee in Terre Haute IOWA in 1859. We do have other descendant information, but nothing else on Joseph.

While I've seen a lot of information on the various geneology Web sites, I haven't been able to connect our Joseph to anyone. I don't know where the chart information came from, but I believe it was put together around 1989 when we held a family reunion in Indepence MO. Various names and dates have been verified from a listing in an 1831 Gore Family Bible (that I've not seen, but did receive a list from it).

Also, I noticed in the information on the Wyoming Valley Massacre of 7/3/1778 the following Gore's were listed:

Died: Ensigns - Asa, Silas; Privates - George
Survived: Field Officer - Lt. Daniel; Private - Samuel

Thanks in advance for both reading this and for any information you may be able to share.
