John Henry Lucas died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Lizzie Witmer, Valley View, on Saturday evening.
A native of Barry Township, he was born June 5, 1870. His wife died a number of years ago and he is survived by the following children, Victor, of Hegins RD; Fred, of Gordon; John, of Ashland; Lloyd, of Locust Dale; Mrs. George Romberger, of Hegins; and Mrs. Raymond Deiter, of Hegins RD; 39 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ida Swinehart, of Hegins.
Funeral is from the H.E. Miller Funeral Home, Valley View, Wednesday morning with further services in the Church of God, Weishample. Rev. James Meyers, pastor and Rev. Charles Wolfgang, Helfenstein, will officiate and burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery.
