The marriage of Miss Nancy Louise Waldner, [daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl A. Waldner, Ashland, to James J Sweeney, son of Mrs. Elwood Sweeney, Ashland, took place on Saturday afternoon at 4 o’clock in the First Presbyterian Church, Allentown. Rev. Dr. Walter Eastwood officiated.
Miss Jane Deaver, of New York City, was the bride’s attendant and Thomas Henry, of Quakertown, served as best man.
A reception in the Gold Room of Hotel, Traylor, Allentown, followed the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Dickinson Junior College and of Bucknell University, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.
Mr. Sweeney attended St. Joseph High School, Ashland, and served three years in the navy in the South Pacific Theater of War.
After a wedding trip the couple will reside in Allentown, where Mr. Sweeney is employed by C. W. Stuart and Co. of Newark, NY.
