Mrs. Mary Elisabeth Yarnell, nee Mather, 57, wife of Edward Yarnell, 1565 Market Street, Ashland, died Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in Fountain Springs Hospital. She was seriously ill for one week and admitted to the hospital October 12.
Born in Barry, December 10, 1893, she was a daughter of the late James and Abbie Mather, and a resident of Ashland for twenty-seven years. She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church.
Surviving besides her husband are five children: Clayton, at home; Mrs. Raymond Taylor, Ashland; Roy, Baltimore MD; Mrs. William Murphy, Reading, and Clifford of Gordon; five grandchildren; two brothers, George Mather, Ashland, and James Mather, Mowry; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Yarnell and Mrs. Louisa Hubler, Reading, and Mrs. Frank Geisler, Barry.
The funeral is Saturday afternoon from the Otto Funeral Home, 200 Centre Street, Ashland, with burial in the Fountain Springs cemetery. The Rev. J. J. Hine, pastor of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church will conduct the services.
