Ryan T. Nenstiel, 28, of Nuremberg passed away unexpectedly Sunday in his home.
Born in Berwick on Aug. 20, 1984, he was the son of Johanna (Jurewicz) Nenstiel, Nuremberg, and the late Robert Nenstiel Jr. and spent most of his life in Nuremberg.
Ryan was employed as a manager by B&R Services, Nuremberg, and was a member of Emmanuel UCC, Nuremberg.
He was a 2003 graduate of Weatherly High School, where he played varsity basketball and was scheduled to be inducted into the Weatherly High School Sports Hall of Fame in a ceremony to be held in January 2013. He attended and played basketball at Bloomsburg University and King's College.
He enjoyed golf, darts and spending time with his family. He loved his pet dogs, Titan, Lily and Gracie, and cats, Peter and Cotton.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his father, by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Marie Nenstiel Sr.; his maternal grandfather, Charles Jurewicz; and an uncle, Joseph Jurewicz.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a brother, Robert III and his wife, Heather, Sugarloaf; a sister, Rachel Nenstiel, Nuremberg; a nephew, Robert IV; his maternal grandmother, Frances Jurewicz, Sugarloaf; his companion, Sammi Jo Kobza; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from Harman Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen, with his pastor, the Rev. Louis Aita, officiating.
Burial will follow in Nuremberg Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
