Ronald W. Kershitsky, 67, of 512 W. Arlington St., Shenandoah, died Tuesday morning at home.
His wife, Gloria, passed away Tuesday evening at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.
Born in Shenandoah, Oct. 16, 1945, he was a son of the late Joseph and Theresa Bova Kershitsky.
He retired from the former A&E Hanger and Tyco, both of Ringtown.
He was a member of Park Crest Fish and Game and the Lith's Club, Shenandoah.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy George, in 2007.
Surviving are a daughter, Roxanne and her husband, Eric Seltzer, Frackville; two brothers, John Kershitsky and his wife, Patsy, Frackville, and Joe Kerr and his wife, Claire, Plano, Texas; a sister, Jean Lagaza, Ephrata; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Kaeli; nieces and nephews.
Scripture services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc., 40 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah, officiated by the Rev. Johnson. Interment will follow scriptures in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home using the Lloyd Street entrance. Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc., Shenandoah, is in charge of arrangements.

Gloria Jean Kershitsky
Died- January 1, 2013

Gloria Jean Kershitsky, 67, of 100 S. Main St., Shenandoah, died Tuesday evening at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, with her husband, Ron, passing away Tuesday morning.
Born in Shenandoah, April 13, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Simon and Elizabeth Gallagher Swirsky.
She was employed by several manufacturing plants in the area.
She was a member of The Lith's Club of Shenandoah.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Judith Ann Swirsky and Kathleen Swirsky.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Roxanne and her husband, Eric Seltzer, Frackville; three brothers, Joseph Swirsky, Shenandoah, Clare Oliver, Frackville, and Thomas Oliver, Saint Clair; six sisters, Ann Marie Swirsky, Marlene Rudisill and Dianne Zimmerman, all of Shenandoah, Mary Price, Pottsville, Pamela Swirsky, Long Island, and Christine Oliver, Ashland; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Kaeli.
A private family viewing will be held Friday at Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc., Shenandoah, using the Jardin Street entrance. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc., Shenandoah, is in charge of arrangements.
