Joseph Groody, about 26 years old, died at 3:30 o'clock this morning at his home in Lost Creek following an illness of three weeks of complications. He was improving and his complete recovery was looked for when he suffered a relapse and died at the time stated. He was a native of that place and well known and enjoyed a large circle of friends. The sympathy of the community is extended to the family.
He is survived by his father, Patrick Groody, one sisiter, Mary, at home, and two brothers, Edward, a soldier in the service of his country, and Maurice, the well-known coal inspector for the Lehigh Valley Coal Company. The funeral will take place Monday afternoon. Interment will be made in at St Joseph's Cemetery, Frackville.
