Surnames: Deaver, Dever, Deever, Smith
Looking for the parents of William DEAVER, DEEVER, DEVER

He was born about 1817 in Pennsylvania to a mother and father who were both born in Maryland.

1845 married Elizabeth CASE SMITH the widow of George W. SMITH in St Joseph County, Indiana, USA (age about 28).

1850 was living in Wills, La Porte County, Indiana with Elizabeth, her children Marcellus, Theophilus and Ralph Smith and their children Sarah E and Mary Ann Deaver. Listed as William Deever and the Smith children are listed as Deever.

1854 - 1859 Last children Benjamin and Emma Deaver listed as born 1855 and 1857 respectively in Wisconsin. Emma is listed as born in Baraboo, Sauk County, Wisconsin.

1860 William Dever was at Yellow Creek Township, Chariton County, Missouri, Elk Springs Post Office, Listed are Elizabeth, her children M. S., Theophilus and Ralph (again listed with the last name Dever) and their children S. E. (Sarah E.), Mary A, W. J. (William John), Benjamin and Emma J. NOTE: in later years William John was know as John W. Dever and it is listed that way on his gravestone.

1870 Elizabeth Deever, without William, lived at Township 56 Range 20, Chariton Countny, Missouri. Brunswick Post Office. With her was Mary A, John, Benjamin and Emma. Last name listed as Deever. It would appear that William died between 1860 and 1870 in Chariton County but I can not pinpoint a date or find any record of his demise.

Any and all help is appreciated. I can help with other Deaver/Dever family.
